Turbat – Internet users in Turbat have severely criticized Pakistan Telecommunication Limited (PTCL) for poor internet service.

PTCL is the only internet service provider in Makran region of Balochistan where Turbat is located.

Internet users told Balochistan Point that internet service is poor during all the day and night which has resulted in creating severe problems for students, journalists and social media users in Turbat.

A student told the Balochistan Point that he always does his assignments at night time but he suffers due to non-availability of internet. He added that the speed of internet is too slow during day time as well.

We pay Rs. 2,000 to 2,500 per month in bills to PTCL but receive poor quality service in return – Turbat Resident.

Another resident of Turbat added that, “We pay Rs. 2,000 to 2,500 per month in bills for internet but receive poor quality service in return.”

People of Turbat have protested against poor performance of PTCL in the past as well but no action has been taken by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

Once, Internet service in Turbat city was unavailable for 15 continuous days.
