ISLAMABAD: Balochistan government has planned to educate youth about water and environmental issues in the province to create awareness about water scarcity and environmental hazards.
Provincial Secretary for Higher Education, Abdul Saboor Kakar Thursday told media that the government would introduce a special academic course in syllabus at secondary level to get rid of the issues of water and climate change.
According to Abdul Saboor Kakar the authority would also update the existing syllabus at college and school levels as per the directives of Balochistan chief minister.
“Currently Balochistan is the worst drought hit part of the country and it needs immediate action to resolve this problem. Our aims are to educate our youth about water shortage and chronic drought,” he added.
