KHUZDAR: A Cheque Distribution Ceremony of Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) was held at Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar on 5th December, 2017. The Prof. Brig (R) Engr. Muhammad Amin, SI (M), Vice Chancellor, Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar as chief guest graced the occasion.
The Vice Chancellor along with Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Baloch and Dean Faculty of Engineering and Dr. Rasheed Masood Khan Jaffar Chief Executive Officer, BEEF distributed cheques among the 87 needy students.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor welcomed the guests and extended congratulations to BEEF scholarship holders. He underlined the importance of education as a source of quality and social justice in the world. He said that scholarship is only the way to get financial assistance but it’s prestigious and honour to receive the scholarship.
“The Government of Balochistan is working hard to provide opportunities to the talented but needy students to fulfill their dreams and aspirations and become partner in the development and welfare of Province and said that responsibility lies with the students as prosperity of any nation is not possible without promoting education and research,” he added.
On this occasion Chief Executive Officer, BEEF gave comprehensive presentation on working and process of BEEF. He lauded the efforts of university administration for encouraging the students by awarding merit and need based scholarships. He said that Balochistan Government was awarding handsome amount for the assistance of the meritorious and need based scholarships for availing higher education easily. “For the first time in the history of the country, thousands of brilliant students were being benefitted from BEEF, who otherwise, could not continue their academic activities due to financial constraints,” he added.
While delivering vote of thanks Dean Faculty of Engineering Dr. Mushtaque Ahmed Shah expressed his gratitude to guests. Later the Vice Chancellor presented university souvenir to the respected guests.
