No Electricity In Turbat For 43 Hours

Turbat – People of Turbat suffered 43 hours continuous electricity supply suspension from Saturday to Monday.

Sources privy to the matter told The Balochistan Point that electricity of Turbat was disconnected by people of Tump Tehsil of district Kech.

Electricity transformer of Tump was out of order from last few days and Quetta Electricity Supply Company (QESCO) didn’t repair it. In protest people of Tump disconnected the electricity supply of Turbat town, learnt The Balochistan Point.

Electricity of Turbat city remained suspended from 5.00 PM on Saturday to 12.00 PM on Monday.

During the unavailability of electricity, mercury soared to 40 centigrade in Turbat causing inconvenience for the populace.

“There was complete shortage of water for drinking and daily usage for almost two days,” Nasrat Nisar a resident of Turbat told The Balochistan Point. “We spent two days of agony due to incompetence of QESCO,” added Mr. Nisar.
