Quetta – Quetta Online group of volunteers along with support of other Civil Society organizations will celebrate International day of persons with disabilities, on Wednesday.
United Nations has designated December 3rd as International day of persons with disabilities and theme for this year is Inclusion matters: access and empowerment for people of all abilities.
Quetta Online is a group of volunteers which believes on using Social Media for positive activities.
Quetta Online will arrange a program in Boy’s Scouts Association Hall on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 1 PM.
Quetta Online along with its partner organizations will highlight the plight of disable persons in Balochistan and will lobby for their rights.
In this program, Quetta Online will also highlight the accomplishments of all the people who have worked for the rights of disabled people.
Disabled persons in Balochistan face different problems on daily basis such as entry in government buildings and educational institutes and government has not taken any action to provide them relief.
Quetta Online group has been advocating construction of ramps on all public buildings so that disable people on wheel chairs can access them.
Civil Society Balochistan has also announced to fully support the program of Quetta Online on 3rd December. Members of civil society Balochistan will participate in the program and will contribute to make it successful.
