Turbat – Massive corruption is taking place in construction of Shah-i-Tump road in Kech district, learnt The Balochistan Point from sources privy to the matter.

Shah-i-Tump road is under construction to provide better transportation facilities to people of Tump and to avoid blockage of road during rainy seasons.

“We appreciate the construction of Shah-i-Tump road but we have serious concerns about massive corruption in this project,” Deedag Noor, a resident of Shah-i-Tump told The Balochistan Point.

Sources told The Balochistan Point that contractor of Shah-i-Tump road is using inferior quality material in road construction and increasing its profits at the expense of quality of road.

Contractor of Shah-i-Tump road has the support of Qazi Ghulam Rasool, Mayor of Kech district who belongs to National Party, alleged Deedag Noor.

People of Shah-i-Tump have demanded from government to cancel the license of the corrupt contractor and prevent Mayor Kech from supporting corruption in this project.
