Three-day Special Polio Immunization to kick off on 15th February

Quetta: The three-day special polio immunization campaign is scheduled to kick off on February 15, 2016 in 15 districts of Balochistan province, targeting to vaccinate 16, 34,261 children bellow five years of age against the crippling disease during the immunization campaign, the sources maintained.

According to the sources of the Emergency Operation Cent (EOC) against the polio Eradication and Prevention told that the campaign would be launched in the selective districts of the province.

The three-day special polio immunization campaign is scheduled to begin in the districts include: Quetta, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Killa Saifullah, Zhob, Loralai, Shirani, Barkhan, Dera Bughti, Jhal Magsi, Musa Khail, Jaffar Abad, Naseer Abad and Lasbela.

“It has been targeted to vaccinate 16, 34,261 children bellow five years of age against the crippling disease during the immunization campaign.” the sources informed.

The spokesman of EOC for polio eradication pledged that it   would be ensured that each and every child below five years of age is vaccinated in the forthcoming campaign.
