Quetta: An attack by armed men on a worship place of Zikris has left 6 dead and 7 wounded in Ziarat-dan area of Awaran district, according to media reports.
Unidentified terrorists came on three motor bikes and opened fire on worshippers when they were busy in worship, said Abdullah Jan, District Police Officer of Awaran while talking to media.
Ziarat-dan, the attack site, is located at distance from the city area of Awaran and it will take a lot of time to bring dead bodies and injured people to Awaran city, added Abdullah Jan.
District administration of Awaran has started collecting further details about the attack and started investigation into the matter.
Zikris are an off-shot of Mahdavi movement of 15th century. Makran region of Balochistan provinces is the place where Zikris are mostly found.
