Balochistan Point Voice of Nation

A heedful glance at golden pages of era-to-era history of Balochistan will reveal the true story of the Baloch nation and their identity as autonomous people on earth. Whereas, from the very beginning the secular Baloch nation has been always fighting hard against many internal or external powers in order to preserve their recognition; be it in shape of British occupying powers or tribal and national opponents or religious fundamentalists.
Even today, in of 21st century, The Baloch is suffering badly due to many reasons i.e. sectarian terrorism, poverty, radicalization of religion and the Baloch insurgency against the State.
It is very much shocking to mention the recent attacks on six Baloch females. They were inhumanly attacked and acid was thrown on their faces, but yet no group has claimed responsibility for it. Due to the lawlessness the perpetrators are wandering freely. Apart from that, the province is also known as a sectarian terrorism hotbed for minorities like Shia-Hazara. On daily basis bomb-blasts, assassination of political activists, kidnapping, killing and dumping is common in restive province of Balochistan.
On another side, also recently the private and public educational institutions of Panjgur, a semi-rural district of Balochistan, were forcefully closed. The masses of the district have been constantly staging protests in front of Quetta press club, and they have also taken out rallies in order to highlight this critical issue to the authorities concerned. They demand that authorities should enforce law and re-open all the private and public schools with the assurance of safety from the dangerous threats of the extremist religious group, little known as Tanzeem-al-Islamia-al-Furqan. Till now both the federal and provincial governments have failed to take any measures to re-open the institutions. And their prolonged silence over this matter clearly shows their inaction.
Thus, people of Balochistan are suffering greatly and are desperate for a better life. Peaceful land of Balochistan is slowly getting transformed into the land of Waziristan provided the hide-outs of many extremist religious groups within the tribal and metropolitan areas of the province. In addition to that, the lack of good governance is further adding fuel to the fire. The writ of the state and the authoritative role of government are missing, which is further creating resentment in the minds of Baloch individuals, common and particular.
