QUETTA: Provincial ministers Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani and woman member of Balochistan Assembly Yasmeen Lehri paid a visit to Brahvi Department University of Balochistan on Friday.
The provincial minister for Services & General Administration Department, Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani and woman member of Balochistan Assembly Yasmeen Lehri met Vice Chancellor University of Balochistan Dr Javid Iqbal, Chairperson Brahvi Department Shabir Ahmed shahwani, Dr Liaqat Sani and Dr Hameed Shahwani.
Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani also chaired a program conducted by Brahvi Department. He said that the services of Brahvi department for the promotion of Brahvi language and literature would always be eulogized. “Contributions of Brahvi scholars, intellectuals and poet are outstanding in our Baloch history, however, the issues regarding facilities Brahvi department is confronting today will be tackled on priority basis.” He added.
Member Provincial Assembly Yasmeen Lehri said that we would consult Government of Balochistan to equip Brahvi department and department library with required I.T facilities and books.
Vice Chancellor University of Balochistan Dr Javid Iqbal said that visits of Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani and Yasmeen Lehri are appreciative and such moves
encourage us to continue struggle for saving Balochistan University. “We have adopted new strategies to save University of Balochistan and now the initiative of M.Phil and Ph.D programs from Brahvi department are role models for other departments.
Chairperson Brahvi Department Shabir Shawnai, Dr Liaqat Sani, Dr Hameed Shahwani, Waheed Zaheer, Dr Mumtaz Baloch and Gul Sher were also among the speakers at event.
