The word corruption is derived from the Latin word corrupts which means to break. There are many types of corruption such as petty corruption, grand corruption and political corruption. Petty corruption is usually linked with the lower salary employees and generally considered as facilitating payments whereas grand corruption is associated with high level bureaucracy. However the political corruption, as name indicates, is related to the politicians.
Since the inception of Pakistan the country has faced the menace of corruption. Most of governments have become the victim of the widespread corruption and corrupt practices. Now-a-days in Pakistan the three organs of government; legislature, executive and judiciary are engulfed in corruption. The root cause of the corruption in the country is poor performance on the part of respective institutions. The presence of corruption plays a pivotal role to the economy which leads to the unemployment and poverty in the country.
The curse of terrorism can be checked by applying certain measures. Present government should ensure the rule of law and accountability for everyone. Vibrant media of Pakistan should also play a proactive role in eradication of corruption n the country.
