Government Should Withdraw Decision To Shift Bus Stand To Hazar Gunji

Transporters in Quetta are holding strike against the shifting Bus stands to Hazar Ganji. If we analyze this decision of government, it is completely inconvenient for transporter as well as passenger. As a matter of fact, security situation in Hazar Gunji is very dangerous. It’s not safe to travel in that area after evening. Shifting bus stand there will cause a great deal of misery to passengers.

Apart from that Hazar Gunji is 20 Kilometre away from Quetta city and it will increase the travelling expenditures of as passengers. Poor people coming from length and breadth of Balochistan would have to pay huge amount of fare to reach Quetta city from Hazar Gunji which is totally unacceptable.

Hazar Gunji bus stand would only be feasible if that area is made secure and intra-city transport facilities are improved. There needs to be shuttle service that travels between centre of Quetta and Hazar Gunji. At the moment, there is no sign of any such shuttle service and security situation is also worse. So, in no way, Hazar Gunji bus stand would benefit the masses of the people.

I hope that government of Balochistan withdraws its anti-people decision of shifting bus stand to Hazar Gunji. Balochistan government should make the life easy for people of Balochistan not to make it difficult by shifting bus stand to Hazar Gunji.
