Advocate Shaheed Chakar Khan Rind

Advocate Shaheed Chakar Khan Rind was one of the victims of recent suicide attack in Quetta in which more than 70 people including lawyers, media men, and civilians were killed and more than one hundred people were injured on 8th of August.

The suicide attack at Civil Hospital came hours after unidentified gunmen killed president of Balochistan Bar Association Advocate Bilal Anwar Kasi in the provincial capital following which lawyers had brought his body to the hospital.

Advocate Shaheed Chakar Khan Rind was born in Balochistan’s cultural area Koshkakalat Turbat. He did graduation in law from QTA Law College. He was straight forward and dedicated to contributing for the welfare of society. He rendered his political, social and human rights services. When the floods of Mirani Dam washed away the whole area, no political parties came forward to assist flood-affected people. Shaheed Rind advocate filed petition in High Court of Balochistan and redressed the grievance of flood victims. He also raised his voice against injustice, the rule of law and democracy in the country.

The hero of the poor and civil society.

Talking to the Balochistan Point’s social activist Ejaz Ahmed, advocate said that Quetta incident was a brutal act, which was condemnable. He added, “That was an irreparable loss for the whole society. He paid tribute to all martyrs of Quetta incident.” He further paid great tribute to social and human rights activists advocate Chakar Khan Rind for his social, political legal and human rights services.”

Ex president Kech Bar Association Jadain Dashti advocate said that the cream of society was martyred in a brutal incident. We lost our whole friends who contributed to the welfare of society, rule of law, supremacy of judiciary and the power of democracy. He demanded from the government to conduct judicial inquiry into Quetta incident and make sure the security of lawyers, media persons, professionals and common people.
