Quetta – Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman, Chief Executive of Quetta Electricity Supply company (QESCO), has promised to increase supply of electricity to Chagai district, on Monday.
QESCO chief made this promise while meeting with Dawood Notezai, chairman district council Chagai.
Dawood Notezai called on QESCO chief and apprised him about the problems people of Chagai are facing due to non-availability of Electricity. Mr. Notezai threatened to hold a sit-in if electricity supply of his district not increased. QESCO chief ensured that electricity supply would be increased to provide relief to people of Chagai.
Due to efforts of former federal Minister, Haji Mohammad Gorgaje, Dalbandin the Headquarter of district Chagai was linked to national electric grid.
Nok Kundi Town, near Iranian in border is provided electricity using diesel powered generator. People of Nok Kundi get electricity for only few hours a day due to shortage of diesel to the electricity generators.
