QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that students should concentrate towards education as it was the best and only option to achieve success in the life.
“Country in general and Balochistan in particular need education and educated persons, therefore incumbent provincial government is paying special focus on education,” he added.
Chief Minister expressed these views after inaugurating Astroturf Football Ground at Pak-Turk International School and College, here on Friday.
Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome by officials of Pak-Turk International School and College and briefed him about the educational activities of the school.
During the visit, Chief Minister inspected different class rooms, hostel and laboratory of Pak-Turk international school and later inaugurated football tournament at school’s Astroturf ground.
Addressing on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch lauded the efforts of Turkey for promotion of education in Balochistan and said government viewed these efforts with respect. “We hope the administration of Pak-Turk International School will further expand its educational activities to interior part of Balochistan,” he added.
Terming students the future of Balochistan and entire country, Mr. Baloch said students have the only choice of education to move ahead and make progress in life. “Students should be well prepared to meet educational and technical challenges of the world,” he said.
Chief Minister announced Rs 1 million for Pak-Turk International School and College for promotion of sports activities and directed authorities concerned to identify an official land for establishment of Girls complex.
Later, talking to media persons, Chief Minister admired efforts of Turkey for taking steps for promotion of education and said that He valued such efforts.
Responding to a question, he rebutted the claim that PML-Q members in coalition government were separating from government and said such rumors are spread through well-knitted planning.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch directed that indiscriminate action should be taken against elements violating law and ensure security of people and their properties in Panjgur district and other parts of the province.
He also directed that unnecessary chief posts of Levies established in Panjgur should be withdrawn and culture of extortion should be discouraged. He issued these directions while chairing a meeting over law and order situation in Panjgur.
Chief Minister said that stern action should be taken against elements involved in illegal activities and directed for equipping Levies force with latest weapons and vehicles.
Chief Secretary Balochistan Saifullah Chatta, Provincial Minister Health Rehman Saleh Baloch, Member of Provincial Assembly Islam Baloch, Home Secretary, Additional IG Police and other official concerned were present on the occasion.
