KHUZDAR: According to administrative division, Khuzdar is headquarter of Kalat division. Its civil hospital is known as the divisional headquarter of Kalat zone,however, the civil hospital is in execrable state. In case of emergency people have to purchase medicines and required things from the medical stores of market even some poor cannot afford to buy any medicine from the market. On the other hand, Private sector hospitals are very expensive in the city and beyond the reach of the poor people.
In Khuzdar nearly 55% to 60% of people are below poverty line. Hence, poor prefer civil Hospital due to the free treatment but civil hospital Khuzdar lacks sanitation and basic infrastructure like beds, honest doctors, sufficient medicines, adequate quantity and quality of staff.
It is very sad to mention that millions of funds are released for civil hospital but funds go in accounts of corrupt mafia and there is no proper treatment of patients.
It is astonishing to mention that doctors of Khuzdar civil hospital advise the patients to visit their private clinics instead of giving them proper treatment in the civil hospital.
Further, there is no proper management, dedicated staff and many other amenities. The attitude of employees is also worst in the hospital. No service is provided in time, sometimes no staff is available.
It is need of the hour that Balochistan government and divisional administration Khuzdar should take tangible measure so as to improve the worst condition of Khuzdar civil hospital and overcome the miseries of common people.
