The Balochistan Institute website mentions that Balochistan is home to courageous journalists, politicians and civil society activists who risk their lives every day to defend their democratic rights. There are simultaneously threats and opportunities facing politicians and journalists.  We research   these hardships and regularly report on trends in and challenges for democracy and free speech.
