International Volunteers Days Celebrated in Quetta

Quetta: International Volunteers Day was established by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly on 17 December 1985. Since then, governments, the UN system and civil society organizations have successfullu joined volunteers around the world to celebrate the day on 5th December.

Chanan Development Association (CDA) celebrated International Volunteers Day 2015 with the Volunteers in University of Balochistan Quetta. Volunteers came together in a big crowed and celebrated their international day for volunteers.

The Hands to serve, Eyes to Watch, Hearts to Feel the pain of Other People and a Group of Youngsters which join hands to hands and make a Chain of Expectation for Needy People and start Work for the Betterment of Society. They work for Education, Health, Human Rights, and other basic needs of Life. It is what makes a community because it brings people together to work on a goal.

A volunteer also benefits themselves because they get to see how their contribution has made a difference. This experience contributes to personal development especially in areas such as self-fulfillment, self-esteem which often flourish in midst of volunteering experiences. The selfless act of volunteering provides a spiritual enhancement as well. Knowing that you made a positive impact on someone is an emotionally uplifting experience that can never be matched by money or fame. It is a way to make empower the people to face the difficult challenges of life bravely. The volunteer also got many chances of national and International exposure visits to gain and share their Experience and learn new techniques to work with ease.

Mr. Khalid Mir Regional Coordinator CDA told that it is a great work to empower the poor and backward people of society. Our Province Balochistan Needs Volunteerism work to go ahead and shines on frontline with other provinces of Pakistan.

The volunteers say thanks to CDA for remembering them in such a great moment. They told that these days must be celebrated by Government of Balochistan Officially.

At the end of the program “Volunteer of the Year” certificates awarded to young committed volunteers of Balochistan.
