Entry test of Bolan Medical College (BMC) was held on 28 December 2014. 219 candidates cleared the test on the basis of old admission policy. However, administration of BMC decided to distribute seats on the basis of newly formed gender quota which distributes seats equally between both genders. This new policy is violation of article 25 of constitution which says that there should not be any discrimination based on gender.
Students who were victims of this new policy filed an appeal with Balochistan High Court (BHC) to restore the old policy. After hearing the arguments of both sides, BHC decided in favor of the victim students. BHC ordered BMC administration, on 17th march, to use the old policy of admission.

As of this date, BMC has not announced the final merit list of those who have secured admission. This amounts to contempt of court on the part of BMC administration and Balochistan government.
I plea to Chief Minister of Balochistan, that he should direct BMC administration to release the admission list as soon as possible. Precious time of students has already been wasted and CM should not allow wastage of more time.
