Letter: B.Ed Requirement For SST Recruitment Is Must

This is in response to the letter published in The Balochistan Point in which my friend asserted on the relaxation in condition of Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) for Secondary School Teacher (SST) Recruitment.

Respectfully, I don’t agree with the views of writer, and wan to say that relaxation in B.Ed will be unjust to those who strive to acquire B.Ed. It is like if asking for the relaxation of M.B.B.S degree or Engineering degree for appointment of Doctors or Engineers respectively.

Surprisingly the writer has equalized the condition of B.Ed, to the deprivation of the Non B.Ed candidates from availing this opportunity. However this is a baseless argument as one cant eye on a post for which he doesn’t fulfill the criteria.

The writer has unjustly tried to project the B.Ed holders as less educated in comparison with M.A and M.Phil degree holders, for this i would like to refer the writer to what Einstein said “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. “As being an M.Phil or PhD doesn’t make u eligible for appointment of Doctor or any specialized job same is the case with SST.

B.Ed is mandatory for the posts of SST, previous vacancies have also been filled on the same condition thus Relaxation in B.Ed should be out of question.
