Letter: No Emergency Doctors in Turbat

Turbat, one of the major cities of Balochistan, lacks emergency doctors which have resulted in several death cases in the city. In fact, every night after 10 PM all hospitals close down in Turbat city and there are no doctors to attend emergency patients.

Recently, a female patient in Turbat faced an emergency situation and she was taken to three major hospitals of Turbat; TMC Hospital, Baloch Hospital and PIA Hospital, and all three were closed. In fact, former district and Session Judge of Kech district, Aimal Kakar, died due to unavailability of timely medical care in Turbat.

In emergency cases, people of Gwadar have no choice but to transport their patients to Karachi. Many patients lost their lives during the long journey to Karachi.

So, I request Chief Minister of Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch to ensure presence of emergency doctors and availability of medical care facilities round the clock in Turbat city.
