Loralai: Six held after couple stoned to death

LORALAl: Six people have been arrested after a couple was stoned to death on charges of adultery on the orders of a local Jury; media reported on Monday.

According to the senior provincial official six people have been arrested after a couple was stoned to death on charges of adultery on the orders of a local Jury.

“The Incident occurred at a hilly Kharo area of district Loralai where a married couple was charged with adultery recently. A local jury, without investigating the case, ordered that the man and woman should be stoned to death.” Said provincial official
Orders of the jury were carried out quickly and both were buried without performing Islamic rituals.

Provincial home minister Sarfraz Bugti told media that six people including a mufti and his son had  been taken into custody and investigations were being carried out
The provincial government took notice of the incident after it was highlighted in the media.
