Turbat – Kech Bar Association (KBA) has called for boycott of court proceedings due to non-availability of District Public Prosecutor in Kech district.

Courts would be boycotted by member lawyers of KBA from 25th July to 1st august as a protest against non-appointment of District Public Prosecutor and members of Majlis-e-Shoora.

District Public Prosecutor is the lawyer that prosecutes cases on behalf of the government and in his absence judicial system is paralyzed.

People of Kech who have civil cases are facing a great deal of inconvenience due to non-availability of District Public Prosecutor and Majlis-e-Shoora members.

“We have been demanding for appointment of District Public Prosecutor for a long time but government doesn’t pay attention,” Jadain Dashti advocate, President of KBA told The Balochistan Point. He added, “We have called for a week long boycott of court proceedings as an act of last resort.”

It must be noted that Kech district is the home town of incumbent Chief Minister of Balochistan, Dr. Malik Baloch.
