Quetta blast kills five including two security personnel

QUETTA: At least five people including security personnel have been killed and several others wounded in a blast occurred in a market on Sarki Road  capital city Quetta here on Thursday.

According to initial reports, over 10 kg explosives were used in the blast which targeted a van of Frontier Constabulary (FC).

“Five persons including two security personnel were killed and several others injured.” Officials confirmed

The blast destroyed security forces’ vehicle and other cars and explosion also damaged several nearby buildings.

The nature of planting  bomb could not be confirmed.

The injured people were shifted to the nearest hospital.

The security forces cordoned off the area and initiated investigation.
