Turbat – Only governmental hospital in Turbat lack basic healthcare facilities and is marred by mismanagement, learnt The Balochistan Point.
District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) Turbat suffers from the problem of absence of the doctors that have been appointed there by government. Due to lack of vigilant regulatory mechanisms by health department, most of the doctors don’t perform their duties, learnt reporter of The Balochistan Point.
Staff of DHQ Turbat ensures that everything is in order whenever a high ranking official visits the hospital. “Everything in DHQ Turbat was arranged in proper order, all doctors were present and medicines were available when provincial Health minister, Rehmat Saleh Baloch Visited DHQ Turbat,” Tariq Hussain, a resident of Turbat told The Balochistan Point.
He questioned, “If everything can be arranged for VIP visits then why not on permanent basis in DHQ Turbat.”
Dentists posted in DHQ Turbat ask patients to visit their clinics to get proper treatment. “There is no one to force doctors, in DHQ Turbat, to perform their duties for what they are paid,” lamented Mr. Hussain.
