KHUZDAR: The Progress Review meeting of the Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar was held on 26th September. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Brig (R) Engr. Muhammad Amin, SI (M), Vice Chancellor, BUET, Khuzdar.
The Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Registrar, all HoDs and Section Heads also attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed and hiccups related to the operation of the university. The meeting also reviewed the BUET progress and looked at policies and operational regulations of the University and took appropriate decisions towards them, in order to overcome the deficiencies.
Furthermore, the HoDs and Section Heads individually briefed the Vice Chancellor on the progress achieved by their respective departments so far and what is to be done. The Briefings illustrated the progress of the University in the academic field with the other Universities. It also showed the progress in constructing the new buildings of the departments and sub campus.
During the discussion the members proposed a number of strategies to attract students to the BUET in the future; both from inside or outside province, and to engage the university with other institutions through academic programs, research, consultancy and training.
The Vice Chancellor expressed thanks to all participants of the meeting, praising them for their continued support for BUET, Khuzdar and their contributions to its growth and innovations.
