KHUZDAR: A Book donation ceremony was held on 28th November, 2017 at University Auditorium, Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar in order to donation of 1000 books to BUET, Khuzdar by The Senator Nawabzada Mir Lashkri Raisani.
At ceremony, senator Raisnai formally handed over books to Vice Chancellor, BUET, Khuzdar Engr. Brig(R) Muhammad Amin, SI(M).The Vice Chancellor in his remarks expressed his gratitude to Nawabzada Mir Lashkari Raisani, who generously donated books to central Library, BUET, Khuzdar.
He said that the books donation would be a significant contribution towards the endeavors of the University to augment the book resources of the central Library.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor extended warm welcome to Nawabzada Mir Lashkari Raisani and said that books are window to knowledge and every citizen of this country has the fundamental right to have access to this vital tool for acquisition of knowledge and education.
Speaking on the occasion, Nawabzada Raisani termed the event as simple but significant. “In the fast paced world of today, we have to ensure that our children get the right education, to equip them to become good citizen.” He added.
Raisani stressed upon the need of inculcating strong reading habits in the students as there was no substitute to book reading to acquire knowledge.
Mir Lashkari Raisani accompanied by Vice Chancellor, Administration Officers, and Faculty members and dignitaries visited the central library.
