Balochistan Point Voice of Nation
In the late 19th Century, 1 May was chosen as international Workers’ day as well Labours day by the Socialists of the Second International to commemorate the Haymarket affair in Chicago. International Workers Day means many things to us. For most, it means a day off from work. 1 May actually has a long historical tradition about the worker that built this nation.
The prosperity of any nation depends on the work of the people there. If they remain like lotus-eaters, no nation can progress or achieve anything remarkable. The prosperity achieved by nations like Japan bears out this. No pains, No Gains.
All kinds of work deserve our respect. But there are a number of people who consider some kinds of work ignorable and inferior. So, it is necessary for our young men and women to not hesitate while doing manual Labour. Parents should infuse in the minds of their children the dignity of Labour. Manual work gives an opportunity to all who wish to take part in the government and the well-being of the state. We should look up to the worker who earns his livelihood by the sweet of his brow.
