KARACHI: Another earthquake struck several cities of Balochistan and Sindh on Saturday.
According to the Pakistan’s Met office the earthquake was at 7.2, while the US Geological Survey (USGS) recorded it at 6.8. According to USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was close to Awaran.
Some of the cities where tremors were felt are Awaran, Quetta, Karachi, Larkana and Sukkur.
The media quoted Director of the National Seismic Centre, Zahid Rafi that this could be an independent earthquake and not an aftershock.
On Tuesday a 7.7 earthquake struck southwest Pakistan leading to massive destruction in the Awaran district of Balochistan. Over 1000 of people lost their lives and several houses were destroyed.
