Apathy Continues: NTS Fee For Job Applications Rs 30 In Sindh And Rs 1000 In Balochistan

Quetta: National Testing Service (NTS) is receiving RS 1000 per job applicant in Balochistan, whereas the same fee is a meager Rs 30 in Sindh.

Balochistan government has announced to conduct all recruitment tests on vacancies below 17th grade using NTS. Test for 4359 jobs will be conducted through NTS.

This is travesty of justice as majority of the job applicants in Balochistan will find it extremely hard to pay Rs. 1000. The low fee for job applicants in Sindh received by NTS proves that same rate can also be applied in Balochistan, if the government of Balochistan cares.

According to an estimate over Rs. 50 million will be collected by NTS from the fees of job applicants from the poor people of Balochistan.

“Financial situation of the vast majority of Job applicants is deplorable and they have to borrow money to pay the fees of NTS,” Said Saleem Ahmad, a job applicant. “The difference in fee for Sindh and Balochistan proves that Government of Balochistan is responsible for this,” He further said while talking to The Balochistan Point.

Apart from that, a new testing service body has been established in Balochistan called Balochistan Testing Service (BTS). Applicants fear that it will be subject to political influence and the transparency of the testing system will be destroyed.

Government of Balochistan has decided to conduct the tests of Bolan Medical College (BMC) through BTS instead of NTS. This decision has merited a lot of criticism from the prospective students.

“Coalition parties in Balochistan government are destroying the merit based admissions in BMC through BTS, claimed father of student who is applying for admission in BMC.
