APDA Announces To Observe Black Day On 7th December

Quetta: All Parties Democratic Alliance (APDA) has announced to observe black day on 7th December to protest the unnecessary delay in Local Bodies elections.

APDA is a political alliance for local bodies which comprises of all major political parties of Balochistan excluding Pashtunkhaw Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) and National Party (NP).

The meeting of APDA was held on Sunday in Quetta which was chaired by Rasheed Khan Nasir and other participants included Akhtar Langove, Naseebullah Bazai, Abdul Wahid Agha, Raza Wakeel, Sami Agha and others.

In the meeting the participants lambasted ruling NP and PKMAP for willingly creating hurdles in transfer of power to elected councilors. APDA has blamed election commission to be in collusion with the ruling parties in delaying the last phase of elections.

It must be noted that Balochistan was the first province to conduct Local Bodies election on 7th December last year. After considerable delay the second phase of election was held in May 2014. Third phase of election is still pending and APDA blames NP and PKMAP for deliberately delaying the final phase of elections.

According to independent sources, the delay in Local Bodies election is one of the failures, amongst many others, of Dr. Malik Baloch led government.
