Government would extend all possible support and collaboration to international donors: Dr Abdul Malik Baloch

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said government would extend all possible support and collaboration to international donors and welcome any foreign investment in agriculture, fisheries, mining and other sectors of the province.

 Chief Minister Balochistan expressed these views while talking to a delegation of UNDP headed by its Deputy Country head Ms Tracy Vienings that called on him here on Friday. Principal Staff officer Muhammad Younus Sarpara was also present on the occasion.

“The law and order situation has improved in the province and provincial government would extend all possible support and collaboration to international donors,” he added.

Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik dispelled the impression that law and order situation in the province is not good and said rather law and order situation had improved to a great extend. “The services of UNDP in Balochistan and providing assistance in different sectors are praise worthy,” he said, adding that provincial government would extend every possible cooperation and security to the donors.

He also sought cooperation of UNDP in capacity building of parliamentarians and staffers of provincial assembly, adding that after 15 years Standing Committees of Balochistan Assembly had been formed.

The delegation informed the Chief Minister that UNDP is taking steps for the development of agriculture sector and assured that it would also assist provincial government for capacity building of parliamentarians.
