Chagai – A ceremony was organized by Sangat Society to celebrate International Children day at a school in Dalbandin, on Saturday.
Deputy District Officer Education Haji Ghulam Dastagir Sumalani, Secretary General Sangat Society Ibrahim Reki, social workers Waqar Reki, Iqbal Reki, Ghulam Nabi and Faizullah Abid spoke on the occasion.
Speakers said that the children are our future and therefore we should educate them for a bright future because they will have to lead the nation.
International Children’s day is celebrated on 20th November every year to mark the International convention for Children’s rights of November 20th, 1989.
The speakers stressed on parents to take care of their children and do not let them to be involved in bad activities.
They said children are the beauty of any house or family who can bring a lot of pleasures for human beings.
Speakers urged to reduce the child labor by legislations and empowering them economically because still large numbers of children are being engaged in labor for livelihood.
Speakers of the event appealed to government to take steps for elimination of menace of Child Labor from the society.
