The brutal murder of a seven-year-old girl Zainab in Kasur shocked the nation when the news spread like fire on the social media. Indeed, this incident shows the ugly face of our rulers and the system.
The condemnable, horrific rape and murder of Zainab exposes how vulnerable the children are in the society of our country.
It has been learnt from media sources that 10 incidents of minors’ rape and murders have been reported in Kasur and 11 in Sheikhupura alone last year. It seems some parts of Punjab have been turned into hell for children.
This is the worst example of human degradation and such shameful incidents have been taking place in and around Kasur since long but the rulers seem to be totally blind.
The incidents of this nature are very serious, the worst kind of child abuse, heinous crime and unbearable. It is a shameful act and a stigma on the face of our nation and it seems there is no rule of law in the country.
The Govt and Concerned security institutions have to act swiftly to punish the guilty and ensure that children are better protected and the government must be mindful of its responsibility to protect the life, honour and property of the masses.
We demand immediate action against culprits and Pakistan needs to re-evaluate how to deal with such crimes.
