Letter: Balochistan – The Land Of Problems

Yahya Buledi

Seeing the current situation of Balochistan everyone is compelled to write and every tongue is compelled to speak up. Enriched with natural resources “Balochistan” is in utter despair. The people living in Balochistan are miserably helpless and the victim of hunger and unemployment. Notwithstanding, plethora of natural resources, its people are worse-off and living a life of abject poverty. Affluent people are being more and more affluent and poor are getting poorer day by day.

Nobody is safe in this region and everywhere barbarism rules, everywhere the blood-shedding and somewhere the bullets and somewhere the voice of weeping are colliding with the eardrums. The children are becoming orphans and the women are being widowed, everyone is on their last legs with grief, and every heart is weeping.

In short, people of Balochistan are facing all sorts of troubles. Adding more to their woes is the fact that there is no rule of law in Balochistan. Government has completely failed to enforce its writ when it comes to issues of public importance. In short, Balochistan has become the land of problems.
