Recently the board of Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) announced the intermediate result which stunned the students. Only 26.68 percent of students were declared pass, out of 26,883 candidates which appeared in exams. Majority of candidates who had worked hard for the intermediate exams will not be able to apply for entry tests due to the low and unsatisfactory marks awarded to them. This unprecedented number of failed students in intermediate exams depicts and exposes the ineptness and inefficiency of educational department of province.
According to a survey conducted by the education department, there are 3500 ghost schools and colleges in the province. Remaining schools and colleges don’t have basic amenities such as toilets, electricity, drinking water and boundaries. If government doesn’t pay any heed to education sector then there is no doubt that government will face grave consequences.
I urge the government of Balochistan to recheck the papers and reform and rehabilitate deserted schools and colleges.
