Quetta blast kills 1, injures 24

QUETTA: At least one persons was killed and two twenty four   people  were injured in a blast at Mitha Chowk located at Pashtunabad area in Quetta,  the capital of Balochistan province on Thursday.

According to the Police a bomb was planted near an ice cream shop in Mitha Chowk area of Pashtoonabad.   .

“The blast destroyed several vehicles and damaged nearby buildings.” Police said

Eight children were among the injured. The injured people were shifted to the civil hospital where emergency was imposed  to ensure timely treatment of the  wounded people.

The security forces cordoned off the area and initiated investigation.
