Turbat – Residents of Turbat have demanded the timely construction of dams in district Kech.
“Population of Turbat is increasing and with it is demand for water, said Ejaz Ahmed advocate. “This is resulting in reducing the water table and hence construction of new dams has become inevitable,” added Mr. Ahmed while talking to The Balochistan Point.
At present, people of Turbat are experiencing shortage of water. Residents believe that after construction of dams this problem can also be solved to a greater extent.
“Due to electricity load shedding farmers can’t extract water using tube wells. Proposed dams in Turbat would also be beneficial for the farmers of the district Kech,” a famer old The Balochistan Point.
People of Turbat have urged government of Balochistan to start construction of dams in the district on war footings.
