Awaran: Earthquake Victims Getting 1 Hour Electricity In Day

Quetta – Earthquake victims of Awaran district are getting one hour of electricity per day, learnt The Balochistan Point.

Reconstruction of homes of Earthquake victims in Awaran has completely ceased due to electricity load shedding.

Reduction in supply of electricity is due to the shortage of fuel in Quetta Electricity Supply Company (QESCO) power house in Awaran.

Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chatta had promised to supply 24 hours electricity to Awaran during his visit to the district.

Last week, electricity supply to Awaran and 7 other towns was totally suspended due to shortage of fuel in QESCO power houses.

People of Awaran have demanded that Electricity supply to the district should be increased.

A devastating earthquake wreaked havoc in Awaran district in September 2013 by killing 500 people and rendering over 200,000 people homeless.
