C M Balochistan says Government is fully determined to protect all segment of society

Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has categorically stated that those days have gone when the members of business community were scared due to kidnapping as government is fully determined to protect each segment of society, including traders.

“Previous governments were afraid of terrorists, and the kidnapping of traders, doctors and common citizens was widespread while the government was not backing law enforcement agencies due to which the vandals were moving freely,” he added.

Chief Minister Balochistan was addressing to the annual General Body Meeting of Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industries, here on Friday.

He said that since formation of their coalition government, the journey of development and peace begin in the province as our coalition partners have pledged that until and unless a signal terrorist is alive we would not sit calm.

“I am the son of a brave father, and father of a brave son. I always raised voice against injustices, owing to that my family was attacked but terrorists could not terrorize me because my moral is as high as mountains of Chiltan and Taktu,” he remarked.

Nawab Zehri said that we would make Quetta the abode of peace, commerce, industries, literature and culture, and would revive its beauty. “Rs 5 billion has been allocated for the revival of beauty of Quetta city and Rs 10 billion for provision of water,” he added.

Announcing establishment of Expo Center in Quetta, Chief Minister Balochistan said that today we are passing through an important part of history where our province is starting an historic journey towards progress and development. Our nearest friend China is investing 46 $ in Pakistan under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar is its center, he said.

Chief Minister said that under CPEC industrial zones would be established in six places, including that of Bostan, adding that trade centers are also being constructed at Pak-Iran and Pak-Afghan borders, and the traders should tap from this opportunity and increase the volumes of business with neighboring countries.

“Due to especial interest of Prime Minister SROs have been issued in Gwadar and steps are underway to make functional free trade zone while federal government and Chinese companies are offering significant support in this connection,” he said.

He said that peace is inevitable for attracting the investors thus provincial government is taking all possible steps for maintaining of law and order, and certainly through the hectic role of security forces and complete support of masses we have succeeded to make successful these steps.

Nawab Zehri said that through business community we condemn Indian aggression with strongest worlds and assure complete support to Pak Army on behalf of people of Balochistan, traders and all civil society.

Provincial Minister for Education Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, MPA Nasrullah Zeray and other members of Chamber of Commerce were present on the occasion.
