Quetta – Armed militants attacked convoy of a Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kharan and killed two of his guards in Balochistan’s district Kharan on Friday.
A Levies official, named Dawood Khan reported that convoy of the DC Kharan, Raziq Dilawary, was attacked in Rachil area of the district.
“Two levies personnel were killed and another two sustained bullet wounds in the attack,” Added levies official.
The injured levies personnel were moved to the district hospital of Quetta for medical treatment.
One attacker was killed in retaliatory firing by Levies force while another attacker was arrested wounded.
Additional contingent of security forces were called to the area after the attack and search for the alleged attackers was carried out. Several suspects were arrested during the search operation.
No militant organization has accepted responsibility for the attack on convoy of DC Kharan so far.
