Letter: Child Labour

It is heartbreaking that the children being underprivileged in Pakistan. Unsurprisingly tremendous numbers of children are unaware about benefits of education as in the age of six to eight; they are working in different kinds of activities. However, they are deprived of education and they do not have the time to play and behave like normal children. Child labour is boosting rapidly in Pakistan.

Mostly, children are working in such activities including selling drugs and other activities which can destroy their life. I feel that this is slavery and unfair because every child deserve to be educated. If they would be uneducated that can damage a child physically and psychologically. They are compelled to work and get some money to continue to live their life. Unfortunately, their desires are not being fulfilled.

I request the government to fulfill their fundamental rights which are necessary for everyone and eradicate this torment from the country.

Chakar Shahdad, Turbat.
