Letter: CPEC- offers no benefit for Baloch

The poor people of rich land have been kept deprived of their basic amenities. The largest province in terms of land, rich in natural resources with lowest literacy and poverty rates is riddled with trials and tribulations. Its inhabitants are in dire need of their fundamental rights and want their miserable conditions to end.

None of the government had paid sincere attention to bring prosperity and never won the hearts and minds of its people but rather continued the exploitation of its natural resources to say the least.

China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will not do wonders to its people as its Punjab that gets the line shares and will be benefited from it but the situation will remain same to its poor inhabitants. The people of Gwadar lack drinking water facility which is its requirement to live but government fail to provide it.

Moreover the demises are not considered significant as they are not counted as human. Our electronic and print Media are silent and never bother to give adequate coverage but busy elsewhere…
