PM’s Visit Disrupts Life In Quetta

Quetta – Two day visit of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif disrupted life in Quetta city and caused huge deal of inconvenience to people.

PM Nawaz Sharif was in Quetta from 18th to 19th February. He chaired a meeting of Apex committee of Balochistan and also attended Passing out parade of Anti-Terrorist Force of Balochistan.

All the routes leading from Quetta airport to Governor House were blocked for the convoy of PM. During the Apex meeting in governor house, all the roads leading to governor house were also blocked by security forces.

Blocking of roads caused a great deal of inconvenience and mental tension to the commuters who were going to offices, shops and hospitals.

On both days of PM’s stay in Quetta, travelling in the roads of the city proved to be a nightmare for the people due to long hours of wait.

“PM comes to Quetta once in several months and he disrupts our daily lives and leaves without making any significant announcement for Balochistan,” an angry citizen told The Balochistan Point.

“Why PM doesn’t travel in helicopter from Quetta Airport to the governor house?” asked another citizen. “We pray that Nawaz Sharif doesn’t come to Quetta anytime soon so that we don’t have to face inconvenience anytime soon,” added the citizen while talking to The Balochistan Point.
