Turbat: Two-day Business Gala Held

Turbat: Two-day business gala event was conducted in University of Turbat (UoT), on Monday and Tuesday this week.

Business Gala contained 35 stalls of products, from different departments of UoT, such as Food, Books, Games, Balochi Cultural products, Fish Aquarium, Sweets, Cosmetic and Barbecue amongst others.

This was the third annual Business gala of UOT; first one was conducted in November 2013 and second one November 2014.

First day of business gala was reserved for males and second day for females. Business Gala generated revenue of Rs. 1.2 million in two days, as per UoT claims.

Vice Chancellor (VC) of UoT Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir inaugurated the Business Gala along with Pro-VC Professor Dr. Abdul Saboor and Deputy Registrar Ganguzar Baloch.

“Annual business gala is an academic activity which mirrors the student’s career with aspirations and paves the way to create an appropriate ambiance for practical learning in University of Turbat,” said VC UoT while addressing the inaugurating session.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kech district, where UoT is located, Mumtaz Ali and many local people visited the Gala.

“Conducting Business galas not only improves the confidence of students but also enhance their professionalism,” said Sheran Kamal, visiting faculty member of Economics Department, while talking to Balochistan Point.

Nasrat Nisar, a management science student of UoT, was of the view that Business Galas help the students of management sciences in understanding the basics of Business.

At the end of the event then a small stage program has been held for distributing prizes.

The stall of Balochi Museum from Balochi Department received the first prize and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.

Students of UoT hoped that Business Galas will be regularly held in the institute.
