Letter: Breast cancer in Pakistan

Breast cancer is one of the most dangerous disease which attacks women. The world today is too developed and raise the voice for women. But, they are still awkward to share their difficulties. One of them is breast cancer which they feel shy to reveal it that is causing death.

According to an estimation that social taboos, lack of health facilities and absence of a national cancer policy are the factors by which breast cancer is nourishing in Pakistan. More than 83, 000 women suffer from breast cancer per year in Pakistan. It has been reported that Pakistan has the highest rate of breast cancer in Asia. Nearly 40, 000 women succumb to this disease. Government should be trying to overcome this disease by taking the health of women and children serious. Such programs should be telecaster which encourage the patients and spread awareness about the disease. The symptoms of this disease must be shared with the people all around Pakistan.
