Letter: Lengthy Curriculum Disrupting Public Education in Balochistan

A common trend that has disrupted the education in public schools and colleges across Balochistan is; having lengthy curriculum. In most cases, due to limited time and resources, teachers are unable to complete the course on time. As a result, students suffer in exams when they are unable to answer certain questions from parts of the curriculum they were not able to go through.

On the other hand, most of the course books are outdated; the facts and figures they contain need to be revised but there is hardly anyone to notice this issue. Improvement in public education of Balochistan is possible but the first step should begin with working on the curriculum because it is what students have to study and are evaluated for.

I request the provincial government of Balochistan to help solve this issue to improve the outcome of the public education.
