Letter: People face hardship  due to unavailable revenue record in Khuzdar

Khuzdar is the second largest district of Balochistan comprising 43,216 sq km. It is famous for its mountain ranges. It has great importance in China Pakistan economic Corridor (CPEC). The district government is playing an important role to bring prosperity and development inside the Khuzdar through allotment of thousands acres of state land for promotion of industrial zone in CPEC. However, unfortunately the people of Khuzdar are facing great hardships due to, unavailability of revenue record which was burnt by unidentified miscreants in 2006. And most of tehsils and mouzas have not been settled yet. Because of, unavailability of records the land mafia encroaches private and state land that has become tribal disputes which increases difficulties for administration and general public as well.

I would request to Chief Minister Balochistan and Senior Member Board of Revenue to pay heed on the matter and may issue notification for its re-settlement with interest of public service.

Liaquat Ali Mengal, Khuzdar.
