Drinking water supplied to Dash area of Kech district comes from the Kech River. Unfortunately, people of Turbat city dump their garbage in Kech River due to unavailability of other places for this purpose. This results in polluting the river and making the water unsafe to drink. However people of Dash are compelled to drink this water despite knowing that it’s full of diseases.
Therefore, I urge government of Balochistan to take prompt notice of this issue and make alterative arrangements for dumping of garbage in Turbat city. In this way, Kech River can be prevented from being polluted and people of Dasht can get pure and safe drinking water.
