Letter: Too Effective But the Deceptive Slogans

Slogans are the weapon of politicians; they use them when they are in need of the people’s favor in the shape of vote. Politicians give a lollypop of the most effective slogans so as to gain their attraction and vote. They easily fool innocent people trapped by their assurance that they would provide them what they have promised.

Among these slogans, the most effective ones are of the health and education provision and making them accessible to all. Unfortunately, the effective slogans are the most deceptive too, people believe that their leaders would provide them the facilities of health and education, since they are the fundamental rights and the first and foremost thing and they vote for them.

Last year, the posts of education in Balochistan were given to  National Testing Service (NTS), they all together collected millions of rupees and no doubt that the education department Balochistan was involved in this loot, while the poor Baloch people were ignored because of the fee that was Rs.1000.

Above and beyond, the posts of health are hanging because of the ministers and bureaucrats. People are sandwiched between them that when they convince one an others and distribute the posts so that he who can  afford buy them and one who does not afford is deprived of them.

Education is much costly in Balochistan, The poor people of the rich Balochistan cannot afford to get their children educated, and not to speak of the provision of education even they cannot give them a proper food. While our politicians come with their deceptive slogans and the simple people vote for them in the hope that they will one day do what they say.
